HIGHLY RECOMMEND – This was a highlight of our trip to Rarotonga…
On arrival we were greeted with staff singing and playing instruments. Such a great vibe with energetic funny and friendly staff on all boats.
From the moment we stepped on-board, the captains kept the laughs and entertainment flowing with singing, dancing, live music, and cheeky humour that had everyone laughing (and somehow still felt genuine, not scripted). The vibe was relaxed, fun, and full of good energy.
We toured the beautiful Muri Lagoon on a glass-bottom boat. You can snorkel in the marine reserve with tropical fish and giant clams. (we can’t snorkel so chilled out aboard – hadn’t been to Coconut Kids Club snorkeling lessons – but still, what an experience! the water is clear) if you don’t swim the boats have a glass bottom where we can enjoy the fish too. You may see a moray eel, giant clams, giant trevellay, angel fish, butterfly fish, convict surgeon fish, trigger fish and turtles.
We got absolutely beautiful weather and were blown away start to finish. Music across the whole morning, even personalising songs made travel time feel non-existent. The snorkelling spot was beautiful and uniquely thought out to suit those of all abilities.
Visited Motu Koromiri and enjoyed an island-style open fire fresh fish BBQ (we had yellow fin tuna) served with BBQ bananas (the captains speciality), potato salad, coleslaw, delicious curried paw paw salad, breadfruit salad, green salad and seasonal fruit.
The crew were entertaining, amazing and had us all laughing and smiling all day long! Entertainment includes singing, drumming, ukulele playing, comedy, hilarious sarong and coconut demo as well as how to shimmy up a coconut tree, with audience participation.
What a great day, full of laughter and song.
