We arrive at Club Raro did a check-in then shown to our Ocean View room. A bit small but amazing view with loungers and seating outside. I rang our car rental company but no answer so assumed they were closed as it was now after 4pm. So we went to the Sand Bar (outside bar) and had our first cocktail Pina Colada. A goth girl came up to us and said I saw your tattoos and dressed in black and thought that’s my type of girls. Had a chat with her then went to dinner at the resorts restaurant Jalapeños. I had STICKY PORK RIBS served with coleslaw, roasted potatoes, sour cream & bbq sauce. Mich had SURF AND TURF sirloin steak served with garlic prawn, potato mash, vegetable and mushroom sauce. We were both happy with the meals. Then back to our room to unpack and fall asleep to the comedy ‘Married with Children’.

Located on the edge of the resort, the Ocean View Rooms have a patio with outdoor furniture and a perfect 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean (and the passing whales in season). These rooms contain one King bed or split into 2 singles, a separate bathroom with shower and hairdryer. A fridge as well as tea and coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board. There is a path along the front of the rooms which is bordered outside the room by a slightly raised tropical garden and a row of coconut palms, on the other side of the path is the resort’s “Sand Deck” which is built above the sea shore. We recommend you treat yourself to an Ocean View Room.
